Hospital Checklist For Mum and Baby
Cuddly Bubs • October 21, 2022

So you're having a baby! Congratulations!

Not sure what to pack? Don't worry, we've got you covered.

For mum:

  • Comfortable clothes to wear during labour and delivery, as well as for your stay at the hospital. We recommend button down nighties
  • A bathrobe
  • Toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap
  • Your birth plan
  • Snacks and drinks (labour can be hungry work!)
  • A pillow (for extra comfort during labour or for resting afterwards)
  • A bath towel (to use after delivery)
  • Nipple cream (for breastfeeding)
  • Adult diapers (for after delivery)
  • Socks (to keep your feet warm)
  • Maternity pads (for after delivery)
  • Underwear (you may want to pack a few different sizes, just in case)
  • Extra long phone charger cord

For baby:

  • Approximately 4 x of our Bamboo Cuddly Suits in either 0000 or 000.
  • 4 Singlet rompers (to keep your little one nice and warm)
  • 1x Cuddly Bow or Cuddly Cap (to take welcome to the world photos)
  • 2 ( per day) soft swaddles (to wrap your little one)
  • Packet or two of gentle baby wipes (to help clean up those little messes)
  • 1 x packet of newborn nappies
  • A car seat installed already in your car (to take your baby home safely)

Of course, this is just a starting point. You may want to add or remove items based on your own needs and preferences. But this list should help you get started in packing everything you'll need for a comfortable and safe hospital stay.
